Introduction

The Lynden Regional Park and Recreation District (LRPRD) was formed in 1996 with the purpose of maintaining and improving the public parks and recreational facilities within the Lynden School District’s borders.   The LRPRD is committed to providing public parks and recreation services to residents within the District’s boundaries.

The Lynden Regional Park and Recreation District’s goals are to provide and maintain the best possible quality parks, trails, open space, and athletic facilities for the enjoyment and use of the community.  The District’s hope is to promote a wide-range of recreational opportunities for citizens of all ages and interests, including those with social, economic, and physical challenges.

The District strives to work cooperatively with local agencies such as the City of Lynden, the School District and the County Parks Department to provide a comprehensive and efficient recreational plan and development
